1. Who we are

CFSBR Data Bank is operated by the Centre for Fintech & Strategic Business Research (“CFSBR”, “we”, “us”). References to “you” or “Customer” mean the individual or entity accessing the Services. Contact: databank@cfsbr.com.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, purchasing a dataset, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse.

4. Products & licenses

CFSBR Data Bank sells digital data products including but not limited to CSV/JSON dataset downloads, methodology bundles, dashboards, and API access. Each purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the product for the tier you purchased:

• Academic Open: non-commercial research, teaching, and thesis work only, with citation.
• Researcher (single seat): internal analysis and commercial-adjacent research by one named user; redistribution of raw datasets is prohibited.
• Institutional: use by the licensed organisation per the signed order form. Seat limits, redistribution rights, and support terms are defined in that order form.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by our merchant-of-record payment partner. Prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes (including VAT/GST) are calculated and displayed at checkout. Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before renewal.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense, or publicly redistribute raw datasets outside your license scope.
• Remove, obscure, or tamper with provenance manifests, DOIs, or attribution notices.
• Use the Services to build a competing data marketplace.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract our Services beyond the licensed API.
• Use the Services to violate any applicable law or third-party right.

7. Intellectual property

All datasets, dashboards, source code, branding, and documentation are the property of CFSBR or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. No rights are granted to you except those expressly stated in these Terms or your order form.

8. Accuracy & provenance

CFSBR follows documented methodologies and, where applicable, publishes C2PA-aligned provenance manifests and Crossref DOIs. However, data is provided “as is” for informational and research purposes and should not be treated as investment, legal, or regulatory advice. Users are responsible for their own conclusions drawn from the data.

9. Disclaimers & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. CFSBR shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to CFSBR in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms. Upon termination, licenses granted to you end and you must stop using the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless your order form specifies otherwise.
